If you’re looking for something to do on a rainy day, Caesars Bowling is a great option. It’s a fun and affordable activity that the whole family can enjoy. We recently took our two kids (7 and 4) to Caesars Bowling, and they had a blast.

Our 4-year-old was able to bowl with the help of the bumpers and sides. He had a lot of fun knocking down the pins, and he was so proud of himself when he got a strike. Our 7-year-old is a bit more experienced at bowling, and he really enjoyed the challenge of trying to get a perfect score.

In addition to bowling, Caesars Bowling also has a game room with arcade games, air hockey, and other fun activities. We spent a couple of hours bowling, and then we moved to the game room to play some games.

We had a great time at Caesars Bowling, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and affordable activity on a rainy day.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when you go to Caesars Bowling:

  • The bowling alley can get busy on weekends and evenings, so it’s a good idea to make a reservation in advance.
  • The bowling alley is located across from Cafe la ola, so you can grab a bite to eat before or after you bowl.

We recently enjoyed a visit to Sun Lounge in Puerto del Carmen. 

It’s a fantastic spot for families, offering a perfect blend of fun for both kids and adults.

The little ones were thrilled with the play area, swings, and game machines.

Last March (2024), my family and I returned to Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park for a second visit. 

We decided to take our friends and in-laws along this time, as we knew they would love it just as much as we did.

The park was just as enjoyable as we remembered it. The kids were particularly fascinated by the birds of prey show and the Sea Lions.

Hollie, in particular, was convinced the birds were going to land on her head, which led to some hilarious moments of her ducking and dodging.

We also enjoyed a leisurely lunch at the park’s restaurant.

The food was reasonably priced, with options like pizza, burgers, and hot dogs.

These beaches also offer amenities like sunbed and shade rentals, making it easy to relax and enjoy the sun.

This neighboring resort is just a short distance away, and the flat path between the two makes it an ideal option for a morning or afternoon outing (shouldn’t be longer than an hour, depending on where you start from). 

If you prefer not to walk back, you can easily catch a bus to return to Puerto del Carmen.

From the promenade, you can also easily stroll to the charming Old Town, where you’ll find traditional Canarian architecture, quaint shops, and authentic restaurants. 

Or, continue your walk towards Playa Chica, a beautiful little cove ideal for swimming and snorkeling and then on to Puerto Calero which is about an hour away.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Sun Lounge in Puerto Del Carmen straight across from Playa Grande beach, and I was pleasantly surprised by how family-friendly and enjoyable the experience was. 

The bar’s kid-friendly amenities, such as the play area, swings, and game machines, made it a perfect spot for families with children. 

My kids were particularly excited about the slushies, milkshakes, and mocktails that were available to keep them refreshed and happy.

In addition to the kid-friendly features, Sun Lounge also offered plenty of entertainment for adults. 

The nightly bingo, card games, and racing events provided a fun and engaging atmosphere. 

The happy hour, with €1 pints from 12-5pm daily, was a great way to enjoy a drink without breaking the bank.

 

The bar’s commitment to showing live sports was also a big plus for us. Whether you’re a football fan or prefer other sports, there’s always something to watch at Sun Lounge.

The food snack menu, served from 12pm, was a convenient option for those looking for a quick bite to eat.

Overall, I had a fantastic time at Sun Lounge.

The friendly atmosphere, family-friendly amenities, and entertainment options made it a memorable experience.

Dawn my wife, Hollie (7), Emily (4), and I have had a blast exploring the various courses and enjoying the friendly competition.

Hollie, being the competitive spirit she is, takes the rules very seriously.

She’s always calculating her shots and strategizing to come out on top. Emily, on the other hand, loves to wind her up.

She’ll purposely aim for Hollie’s ball or pretend to accidentally bump into her, causing a bit of playful chaos.

Despite their differences, mini golf has brought us together. It’s a game that’s suitable for everyone, regardless of skill level.

The kids love the challenge of navigating the obstacles and aiming for the holes, while Dawn and I enjoy reliving our own childhood memories of playing putt-putt.

The beautiful weather in Puerto del Carmen is an added bonus.

The Canary Islands offer a pleasant climate year-round, making it possible to play mini golf outdoors even during the winter months.
