If you’re looking for a relaxed, interactive, and genuinely fun animal day out in Tenerife with kids, Monkey Park delivers in a big way. We recently spent a couple of hours there with our family — kids, in‑laws, snacks and all — and it turned out to be one of the sweetest and most memorable stops of our Tenerife holiday.

🐒 Our Family Experience

We arrived right at opening — 9:30 am — which was a brilliant call. Animals were active, curious, and keen to check us out before it got busier later in the morning.

🌿 First Impressions

Walking in, you’re greeted by the cutest crowd of friendly guinea pigs and lemurs, nibbling happily on food from our hands. The kids absolutely loved being able to interact (and giggle) as creatures ambled right up to them.

There’s a gentle route around the park, so even toddlers and buggies had no problems navigating the paths. It wasn’t overwhelming — a perfect first animal park for younger children.

Tip: Buy 2–3 tubs of food if you want to feed everything — if you give all your food to the guinea pigs first, you might miss feeding the lemurs later!

Most families spend 1.5–2 hours here — enough to explore, feed animals, take photos, and relax in shaded spots. If you’re combining with a beach day or a seaside lunch, it slots in beautifully for a half‑day experience.

• Taxi or car is easiest — there’s space outside the park to park. 

• Bus isn’t direct, so if you’re relying on public transport be ready for a short walk afterwards.
