We were told there was a free bus service but we couldn’t find it.
Our experience was going with 2 young children (3 and 6) so we mainly stuck to the more timid rides and things to do.

ToggleWhat is the main differences between Aqualand and Siam Park?
Aqualand and Siam Park are both popular water parks in Tenerife, Canary Islands.
They both offer thrilling slides suitable for all ages, as well as a wide range of entertainment options such as lazy rivers and wave pools.
However, one of the key differences between the two is that Aqualand Costa Adeje is more family-oriented, whereas Siam Park has a wider range of extreme rides and attractions for thrill seekers.
Additionally, Aqualand Costa Adeje offers various shows and activities all throughout the day, while Siam Park focuses more on its intense attractions.
Both parks provide an unforgettable experience for visitors of any age.

Family Fun Day in Costa Adeje Aqualand
Our day started by turning up when it opened. We brought a packed lunch for the kids, as they are fussy eaters, like most children, and we intended to eat in the restaurant.
Our first stop was the lazy river:
Lazy River (Lava River)
- The Lazy River is a great option for families with younger children.
- There is no height or age restriction for the lazy river in Aqualand Costa Adeje. This makes it a great option for people of all ages, including toddlers.
- It is a slow-moving river that takes visitors on an inner tube ride around the park.
- The Lazy River is perfect for those looking to relax and enjoy some time in the sun without having to worry about intense rides or water slides.
- This makes it ideal for smaller kids as they do not need to worry about any of the faster or more intense rides. However i would still recommend bringing a life jacket for very young children, just for peace of mind.
After the lazy river we went in to the children’s pool:
Children’s Pool
- This pool is shallow and has a variety of water features for children to play on. It is very shallow and has small slides for babies and toddlers which was heated.
This was great as we could sit at the side and watch them playing. Although my oldest was 6 she still had a great time in there.
Once the children were happy to move on we would walk around the park for a bit, well my youngest demanded carrying.
If you have a buggy on holiday with you I would definitely recommend you take it to Aqualand as you can end up doing a lot of walking, also when leaving the park you may be tempted to walk back, depending on where you were going as the taxi queue can sometimes take up to an hour.
Next was lunch where you can sit inside out of the sun or out on the terrace. The food is reasonably priced. I had a Pizza slice for 5 Euros and Diet Pepsi for 3 Euros and the girls ate their packed lunch (we’ll for the purpose of this blog I’ll say the ate their lunch :)).
Next up was the wave pool, this is what the kids were excited all holiday about playing in and it did not disappoint. Since the pool is like a beach and has a gradual incline, they were able to stand where they felt safe and enjoyed jumping in to the waves.
Wave Pool
- The Wave Pool is a great option for those looking to have a bit of fun in the water.
- The pool features waves at the deepest area are just high enough for body surfing(1.80 meters), making it perfect for people of all ages.
- The wave machine runs every hour and is gentle enough that even young children can enjoy getting caught up in the surf.
We finished the day off by watching the Dolphin Show which starts at 15:30 every day.
The Dolphin Show
- It is a 30-minute presentation of dolphins, sea lions, and parrots.
- The dolphins perform a variety of tricks, such as jumping through hoops, balancing balls on their noses, and playing soccer.
- The sea lions do tricks like somersaults and handstands, and the parrots fly around the arena and talk.
- For more info take a look at their webpage: https://www.aqualand.es/costa-adeje/en/dolphinarium/
Once that had finished the kids were starting to get restless so we walked back to our hotel.
It was La Pinta, just off La Pinta beach. The walk took about 25 minutes so not to bad, apart from I had to carry Emily.

Can you swim with dolphins at Aqualand Costa Adeje?
This park contains Dolphin Planet, where visitors will learn about dolphin species and other creatures, but unfortunately you can’t swim with them.
What age is Aqualand Tenerife for?
In our opinion it is for all ages, it has more family friendly and young kids things to do than Siam park, but still has plenty of adrenaline rides for those who dare it.
